What "Custom Cat Stroller" Actually Means
"Custom" covers three very different levels of work, and the level you pick drives both your MOQ and your launch date. Most buyers who ask us for a custom cat stroller only need the first level, and discover they can reach shelf in a single season.

A genuinely new structure: new tube diameters, hub geometry, folding latch or tray shell. Injection or bending tooling is opened in your name. MOQ 500–1,000 pcs, tooling 10–20 days before sampling.
Cat-Specific Design Points Most Suppliers Get Wrong
A dog stroller with a smaller cabin is not a cat stroller. Cats climb, squeeze and panic in ways dogs do not, and the failures show up as returns rather than complaints. These are the points we raise before a custom cat stroller project starts:
- Mesh aperture. Coarse mesh that is fine for a dog lets a determined cat push a paw through and work the zipper. Cat cabins use finer aperture with a locking slider.
- Top access. Loading a cat through a front opening fights every instinct it has. A zippered top panel turns a two-person job into a one-person job — and it is the change buyers request most.
- Removable tray. Cats associate the carrier with the vet. A tray that lifts clear of the frame, with a hard base and a washable liner, is the single feature that most often gets mentioned in positive retail reviews.
- Centre of gravity. A cat moves its weight suddenly and climbs the sides. The cabin floor sits low in the frame and the wheel track stays wide.
- Quiet wheels. A rattling wheel turns a calm cat into a panicked one. EVA foam or soft-compound rubber with sealed bearings, especially for indoor retail demo floors.
- Partial cover. Cats want a hiding place. A zip-down front panel or a half canopy gives them somewhere to retreat, which most dog strollers leave open.

From Sketch to Container
- Requirement. Market, target retail price, quantity, reference photos or drawings.
- Proposal. Structure, material and fabric options with drawings and a costed spec sheet.
- Quotation. Unit price, tooling cost if any, MOQ, estimated CBM and 40HQ loading.
- Sampling. Prototype in 7–15 days on an existing platform; photos and video before shipping. New tooling adds 10–20 days before the sample.
- Confirmation. Sample approved, specification locked, packaging artwork confirmed, deposit invoiced.
- Production. In-line QC at frame, sewing and assembly. Weekly progress updates.
- Inspection & shipment. Pre-shipment report, loading photos, FOB / CIF / DDP as agreed.
The two things that compress a launch date more than anything else: approve the sample quickly, and lock the specification before the deposit. Changes after production starts are the largest single cause of missed seasons.
Compliance
Cat stroller structures are developed with reference to EN 1888 and ASTM criteria for the relevant market, and third-party inspection (SGS / TÜV / Intertek) is welcome before shipment, with reports provided on request.
